Sign up to study for an MA in Global Learning at the IOE (Faculty of Education and Society)
Applications are now open for the MA Global Learning, starting September 2025. This fully online programme is designed for educators who want to help their learners navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
This MA will equip educators with skills to help their learners navigate today’s complex and interconnected world. Global learning supports the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. It helps educators tackle key issues such as global inequality, social justice, climate change and sustainability. Global learning can be applied to educational practice, policy or research.
Through flexible, asynchronous modules, you'll explore key areas such as global learning, global citizenship education, and education for sustainable development.
The MA is based in the Development Education Research Centre (DERC) at the IOE, ranked the world’s top institution for studying education. It attracts global educators from around the world working in schools, higher education, NGOs, and global organisations. The MA allows you to study alongside enthusiastic educators to develop knowledge and skills on complex global and sustainability-related issues. You’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your own practice while exploring current debates in research and policy.
