Our ‘Growing Spaces, Growing Minds’ project is making wonderful progress!

Our Talbot Village Trust funded project Growing Spaces Growing Minds at Wimborne First School & Nursery has had an exciting week!

School staff, parents, community volunteers and pupils spent the afternoon clearing vegetation from the 6 raised beds and around Mia’s bench and helped to prepare the area for planting!

It was such a fun activity to do together in the sunshine! We were careful to leave plenty of undisturbed space for wildlife too!

After school some pupils and their families also joined us to litter pick the area, pull up docks and tread down the compost in the new (donated) bins!

A big thank you to everyone who has donated water butts, compost bins, cardboard, compost, tools, seeds and their time! Especially: Eco Composting; Haskins Garden Centre; Samways & Son bike shop and Knoll Gardens.

All we need now is some rain!
