Here are some useful online resources to guide you through difficult times:

Facing History & Ourselves have some great teaching resources on discussing race and racism in the classroom, including Antisemitism and Islamophobia. They also run online Insets for teachers.

UNICEF’s How to Talk to Your Children About Conflict and War shares 8 tips to support and comfort younger children with feelings such as fear, sadness, anger and anxiety.

Tackling Climate Anxiety in the Classroom is a digital education resource for teacher to think critically about the impact of the climate emergency on the heath and wellbeing of learners from upper primary through to secondary.  Produced by Scotdec, Scotland’s leading Development Education Centre (DEC).

Kindness and Wellbeing teaching resources from British Red Cross to help children and young people build resilience, boost wellbeing and explore the importance of kindness.

My Happy Mind is a NHS-backed programme to help schools, nurseries and families create a culture of positive mental wellbeing.

Fairtrade Workshops

Helping children and young people believe they can make a difference

Our Fairtrade Chocolate workshop is ideal for Year 3 & 4pupils. They learn about the of cocoa farming in Ghana and how Fairtrade makes a difference to the everyday lives of cocoa farmers.

“Louise engaged all members of our Year 3 and 4 class in the Fairtrade workshop with a variety of tasks and artefacts. The children LOVED the ‘are you as strong as a Ghanaian cocoa farmer?’ challenge, the lure of tasting Fairtrade chocolate at the end and the cocoa bean group challenge. The activities involved teamwork and cooperation and will help the children to make empowered choices in their own lives and to make a difference around the world.”

For pupils of all ages, Sarah can deliver workshops exploring food and Fairtrade around the world, through fruit tasting, mapping products and exploring the link between Fairtrade and the Climate Crisis.
