World Philosophy Day 2021 – Uniting Nature
We wanted to let you know about this event our friends at Cumbria Development Education Centre are holding for teachers and anyone interested in Philosophy for Children (P4C), a movement that aims to teach reasoning and argumentative skills to children.
When: Thursday 18th November
Time: 9.30am - 11.30 am
Cost: £25
This 2 hour online event will include a short introduction to P4C followed by a stimulus created by Gina Parker Mullarkey (@little_chatters) and Jane Yates (@philos_backpack) especially for World Philosophy Day 2021. Participants will then have an opportunity to take part in a P4C enquiry – developing existing skills or experiencing for the first time.
Everything presented and created at the event will be shared with attendees as a classroom resource.
Who is the event for?
• All welcome - teachers and educators who are new or experienced to P4C
• All welcome - teachers and educators both locally and globally
This event will be facilitated and hosted by members of #CumbriaP4C
If you book this event, you will also receive the stimulus resource by storyteller Alia Alzougbi from thier previous Transforming and Innovating P4C event which was held in May 2021
The event will be held via zoom, booking is essential as numbers are limited.
