Are you Looking for Engaging Resources That Will Inspire Children?

Our friends at Practical Action offer fantastic free resources that you can include in your lesson plans for STEM subjects this term.

One of the themes at the forefront of the UN Climate Change Conference in November (COP26) is nature-based solutions. Inspire your students with their activities and explore alternative approaches to environmental issues like flooding, drought, or soil degradation.

Their STEM challenges make ideal activities for primary and secondary aged children. Each challenge is easy to navigate as it includes a Teacher’s guide to running the challenge, activity sheets, a PowerPoint, a poster and certificates.

Whether your children are developing a floating garden, designing a hand-washing station or reusing plastic for enterprise, you can be assured they will love developing their own ingenious solution to a real world problem.

DEED can also help and support you with bespoke training for your staff, exploring how global learning themes, such as social justice and equity, diversity and identity, globalisation and interdependence, and environmental sustainability, can enrich your teaching and curriculum. Resources, books, artefacts and instruments can be browsed and borrowed to inspire and engage pupils. Click here to find out more.
