DEED and Lighthouse, Poole present an amazing opportunity for local schools to see PIG HEART BOY

Wednesday 7th – Saturday 10th May 2025 at Lighthouse, Poole BH15 1UG

A powerful story of friendship, loyalty and family from multi award-winning author Malorie Blackman: Pig Heart Boy is adapted for stage by Winsome Pinnock.

Cameron is thirteen and all he wants is to be normal – hang out with friends, go to school, and dive to the bottom of his local swimming pool. But he desperately needs a new heart. Finally, one doctor offers hope. It's risky. It's controversial. And it's never been done before…

Is it better to have a pig's heart that works… than a human heart that doesn't?

A unique opportunity for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils studying PSHE; English; and Drama to immerse themselves in a story with many moral and ethical dilemmas and see characters develop emotional intelligence and resilience along the way.
