We delivered an Introduction to Global Learning training session with trainee teachers in Poole Scitt

We explored a range of resources together, discovered the multiple impacts of the life of a single-use coffee cup, diamond ranked the 9Rs (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Re-gift, Repair, Rent, Recycle and Rot) and sorted photos of India and the UK to challenge negative stereotypes. Not bad for a Monday afternoon!

Poole SCITT is an established Initial Teacher Education provider, working in partnership with local schools to recruit and train primary class teachers of the highest calibre to work in schools across the locality and beyond.

They believe that every child deserves to be taught by a highly-skilled practitioner, regardless of background. Their ambition is to ensure that every Poole SCITT graduate is able to teach in any school. In order to achieve this, our course blends theory and research with practice and support. Over the training year, trainees work in and with experts from a wide range of partner schools, in order to ensure that they have a broad understanding of the full role of the teacher.
