Hopefool – a play for peace at The Black Cherry, Boscombe

Hopefool is a play for young people and adults that promotes peace in a time of conflict. For young people, especially witnessing the horror of war from around the world, can make people feel hopeless.

When: Monday 16th October, 6.30 pm, doors open at 5.45 pm
Where: The Black Cherry, Boscombe BH1 4AP

Hopefool is about reminding people that we do have a voice and we can make a difference however small in promoting unity and love. 

Hopefool will be performed by Vita Nova’s group ‘Celeste’ - an integrated drama group consisting of those in addiction recovery working with those with English as a second language, including refugees and asylum seekers who have overcome real struggles. 

The event will conclude with a Q&A session offering the audience an opportunity to engage directly with the cast. 

They will also be showing a short 8-minute film of clips from interviews commissioned by the ‘Where We Can Call Home’ project which is a joint project between us, DEED, and  Citizens Advice BCP.
