A creative legacy from our Global Fair
Back in June, as part of our Global Fair at Walford Mill Crafts, we were lucky enough to have their onsite maker Caroline Parrott running a drop-in workshop, funded by Wimborne Town of Culture 2026 as a Culture Catalyst Project.
Caroline works with anodised aluminium, printing and dyeing it to create wonderfully vibrant pieces. During the workshop, visitors, mostly children, created their own printing blocks inspired by images from around the globe, which they then used to print onto small pieces of aluminium. Once dyed and sealed, all the individual pieces were brought together to create one beautiful wall hanging.
And now you can see the finished artwork for yourself at Wimborne Community Centre, where it is being exhibited until Thursday 31 December. It's a lovely reminder of the creativity, colour and global connections that were part of our Global Fair.
If you missed the Fair, this is a chance to see one of the wonderful things that came out of it. Do pop in and have a look!
